Pottery & SIP - Christmas Tapas Bowls/Platter Workshop - 18 November 6.30pm

Create something special for your Christmas table in this relaxed, beginner friendly pottery workshop.

Choose to create either a set of three hand built tapas bowls, perfect for dips, oilves and all those Christmas nibbles. Or a beautiful Christmas serving platter to being our year after year.

You'll learn simple hand building techniques to shape, refine, and personalise your piece, exploring form and texture along the way.

Whether you're creating something for your Christmas table or making a thoughtful handmade gift, you'll leave having created something truly unique. 

No experience is necessary. I'll guide and support you though every step.

Workshop Details

• Suitable for ages 12+
• Approximately 2 hours (Please arrive 10 minutes before the workshop begins)
• Includes all tools, clay, firing and glazing
• Glazing- Your items will be glazed in a clear glaze on a white speckle clay
  
• Glazing- You are welcome to paint your pieces once fired for an additional cost
• Your finished bowls will be ready for collection in approximately 6 weeks, I will email once they are ready for collection

Pottery & Sip

Settle in for a relaxed evening of pottery, creativity and good company. Bring along your favourite drink to enjoy while you create.

BYO drinks and nibbles welcome.  Alcohol is BYO and for guests aged 18+ only. Please drink responsibly. NO drinks are supplied or included in the workshop price. Please ensure you have arranged transport home. 

What to bring

Just yourself! You’re welcome to bring a drink, along with a small platter or snacks to enjoy while you create. Glassware and serving platters are provided. Please wear comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting a little messy. We also recommend trimming your fingernails before the workshop. 

Whether you are coming with friends, family or on your own, this is a wonderful opportunity to slow down, get creative and enjoy the experience of making something by hand.

Booking & Cancellation Policy

Spaces are limited and bookings are essential. Bookings are non-refundable, however you are able to transfer your booking to another person if you cannot attend. Please let us know their details before the workshop.

Workshops require a minimum number of participants to run. If Clay Space needs to cancel or reschedule a workshop due to low numbers or unforeseen circumstances, you will be offered a choice of a full refund or a transfer to another workshop date.

Photos & Videos

One of my favourite parts of running Clay Space is capturing the creativity that happens in the studio. I may take photos or videos during workshops to share on my website and or social media. 

If you would rather not be included in any photos or videos, simply let me know before the workshop starts. Your privacy will always be respected.

The Nature of Handmade Ceramics

Ceramics is a handmade process and, while every care is taken, there are times when pieces may crack, warp or become damaged during drying, gazing or firing. These are natural risks or working with clay and are often beyond anyone's control.

By booking a workshop, you acknowledge and accept these risks. Refund, credits or replacements cannot be offered for pieces that are damaged or do not survive the ceramic process.

Above all, Clay Space is about slowing down, enjoying the creative process, and embracing the beauty of handmade ceramics. Every piece tells its own story, and every workshop is about learning, creating and having fun.
